Sasol 1 Secunda beats Bethal Bears by 8 wickets

Sasol 1 Secunda played against Bethal Bears on Saturday, January 15.

Bethal won the toss and elected to bat. Bethal could only manage 91 all out.

Ignus Koekemoer took 5 for 24 in his 10 overs.

Sasol managed to chase the target in the 13th over and won the match with eight wickets.

Sasol 2 fell short against Standerton 1 in a low scoring match on Sunday, January 16.

Sasol failed to chase a low target of 115.

Sasol 2 however redeemed themselves on Saturday, January 22, by beating a strong Ermelo team with seven wickets.

Douglas Richardson made 61 and Vernon Fourie made 52. Both batsmen were not out.

Sasol 1 Secunda took on Standerton 1 in Standerton on Sunday, January 23.

Sasol 1 won the toss and sent Standerton in to bat.

Standerton was bowled out for 76 Runs. Nicus Boshoff took five wickets.

Sasol 1 chased the target yet again in the 13th over and won the match with eight wickets.

Pieter Vrolijk made 49 not out.

Sasol 1 is now on 25 points, followed by Sasol 2 on 14 points at the halfway mark.

Sasol Kinross also played on Sunday, January 23 against Piet Retief.

Kinross scored 189 all out with Bonganie Mtswagai top scoring with 46.

Kinross restricted Piet Retief to 117 runs and won the match with 72 Runs.
