Sasol 1 secures a win over Standerton 1

Sasol 1 Secunda beat Standerton CC 1 convincingly by eight wickets in a Group A-match of the GS Premier League on Sunday, January 23.
The match began at 9:45 at the Piet van den Berg-oval in Standerton.
The final results were Sasol leaving the pitch with 81/2 in 12,1 overs, while the home team managed 75/10 in 20,4 overs.
Sasol’s bowlers were on top form with Nicus Boshoff taking five wickets, conceding 29 runs, Ruan Jacobs taking three wickets, conceding 20 runs and George Louw taking two wickets, conceding 20 runs.
Batsmen Jan-Dirk van Dyk scored 20 runs of 25 deliveries, Carus Janse van Rensburg 12 runs of 27 deliveries and Louis Bibbey six runs of seven deliveries.

Standerton CC1 was victorious however, at a Group A-match against Sasol 2 Bulldogs in the GS Premier League on Sunday, January 16, winning by 58 runs.
Mouton took the award as Player of the Match, with bowling figures reflecting seven wickets for the loss of only 14 runs.
Sasol opted to bowl first at the Sasol Main Oval at 9:45.
Van Dyk of Standerton scored 17 (32), Jaden Breytenbach 12 (25) and Boy Qutello 11 (22) during the bowling attack.
Phillip Swart of Sasol took 3 (23), Michael Hobkirk 3 (35) and Daan du Plooy 2 (17).
During their time in front of the wicket, Theuns Snyders scored 19 (20), Hobkirk 10 (10) and Douglas Richardson 7 (18).
The other two noteworthy bowlers of Standerton were Elpee Jordaan with 2 (21) and PJ Venter with 1 (14).
The final score in the hometown’s favour was 113 (10) in 30,3 overs, with their opponents managing 55 (10) in 18,3 overs.
