Ermelo beats Sasol 1 while Sasol 2 beats eMba

Sasol Secunda Cricket Club’s Sasol 1 team faced Ermelo on Saturday, January 29 at the Sasol Cricket Club and lost the game.

Ermelo batted first and set a target of 200 runs.

Sasol 1 only managed to make 115 runs.

Sasol Cricket Club’s Sasol 2 Bulldogs team made up for Sasol 1’s loss and won their game against eMbalenhle Cricket Club on Sunday, January 30 with 49 runs.

Nicus Boshoff was one of Sasol 2 Bulldogs’ scorers.

He made 60 runs and took four wickets.

Sasol’s retired player, Dylan Niemand, also dusted off his cricket gear to help Sasol 2 out and he managed to make 3/41 in his 10 overs.

Sasol 1 is still at the top of the log with 25 points followed the Sasol 2 Bulldogs with 19 points and Standerton 1 with 14 points after six rounds of cricket matches.

Sasol 1 and Sasol 2 will take each other on this weekend.
