A chess club is active in Rayton.
It is located at 5 Transnet Service Road behind 60 South Street.
At the moment the club has eight members, but they have the capacity to host 20 members.The club is available for ages from seven to 20 years old to join.
The club has four tournaments open to the public and schools through the year.
Learners will be given certificates and trophies at competitions. Club members must register as there are registration fees as well as club fees.
“There are t-shirts for club members, hopefully we will find a sponsor for them this year,” said club organiser, Justin Collett.
