The Sasol Secunda Ringball Club again wants to kick off, but they need the players.
After almost two years of no action because of Covid-19, the ringball circles are ready to get the club off the ground again.
Anyone interested, can join their practice sessions Monday and Thursday from 18:15 at the ring ball courts of the Sasol Recreational Club in Secunda.
“Ringball is a sport for the entire family. Bring your spouse, your kids, your granny and even your neighbour’s family to come to have some active fun with us,” said Corrie Potgieter.
“We are like one big family here.
“If you can throw a stone, you can throw a ball and play ringball,” said Potgieter.
Ringball is a nationally recognised sport and serious players can achieve their Protea colours.
Primary school kids compete in U/9, U/11 and U/13 teams.
Highschool learners play in categories of U/15, U/17 and U/18.
There are also U/19 and U/23 teams, as well as teams for senior men and senior women, masters and veterans for both men and women.
