Sifiso Siphamandla wins 127th Standerton Parkrun in a good time
Apart from giving the rules of this free event, De Sousa said that the parkrun would not be possible without its volunteers.
Sifiso Siphamandla was victorious at the 127th parkrun on Saturday, February 19, finishing in a time of 17 min 41 sec.
A total of 66 participants waited for run director, Renette de Sousa, to blow the whistle at the Standerton River Park at 8:00.
Apart from giving the rules of this free event, De Sousa said that the parkrun would not be possible without its volunteers.
Sam van Niekerk competed his 100th parkrun and a round of applause followed.
Mohammed Mussa obtained the second position with a time of 21 min 22 sec, a new personal best, followed by Johan Ferreira who completed the 5km in 23 min 39 sec.
Tshiamo Lephoto clocked in at 23 min 41, with Ilse Ferreira, who competed in her 50th run, registered a time of 26 min 15 sec.
Theo Schönfeldt obtained the seventh position and ended with 27 min 11 sec.
Ishara Pillay, Jennifer Naidoo, Karin Ferreira, Kay Pillay, Krishnalal Ramdharee, Lizette Jansen van Rensburg, Jean Robertson, Marjorie Uys, Prsicilla Ramdharee, Ruwan Vermaak, Séan Jansen van Rensburg en Sylvy Moodley were on their posts to facilitate a safe route.
