Standerton’s Lanie Nel and Betsie Bornman are third in Mpumalanga

The pair played out for the third and fourth positions against Andy Creswell and Anne Coetzee from Lowveld.

Lanie Nel and Betsie Bornman from Standerton Bowling Club secured a third place in the Mpumalanga Mixed Pairs Tournament held at Witbank Golf Bowling Club on Saturday and Sunday, February 12 and 13.

The pair played out for the third and fourth positions against Andy Creswell and Anne Coetzee from Lowveld.

The tournament winners are Francois Hanekom and Annette Stassen from the Lowveld, followed by Gavin Shoobert and Joey Kriel from Witbank Golf Bowling Club.

Nel and Bornman will be taking part in the South African Inter Districts Tournament from 7-11 March.

Nel will compete for the open team in Pretoria and Bornman for the B team in Pietermaritzburg.
