Siyabonga Kamhelo claims victory at Standerton Parkrun

A total of six runners improved on their times and two new-comers were welcomed.

Siyabonga Kamhelo proved his worth after ending first at the 128th parkrun on Saturday, February 26 in a time of 19 min 07 sec.

A total of 56 participants took on the 5km-route at the Standerton River Park.

Mlungisi Ntumba was in second place in a time of 21 min 34 sec, followed by JD Nortjé in 23 min 11 sec, a new personal best.

Daniel Malemone ended fourth in 27 min 55 sec and Junior Madau fifth in 28 min 15 sec, a new personal best.

Charl van Wyk, Elmien Vermaak, Frans Vermaak, Hugh Robertson, Jennifer Naidoo, Lizette Jansen van Rensburg, Marjorie Uys, Renette de Sousa, Ruwan Vermaak, Séan Jansen van Rensburg and Theo Schönfeldt took up their positions to facilitate a smooth event.

This event is free of charge and begins every Saturday at 8:00.
