Siyabonga Kamhelo finishes first at parkrun in Standerton

Siyabonga Kamhelo is ’n factor to be reckoned with after once again winning the parkrun on Saturday, March 12.
Kamhelo clocked in at 17 min 42 sec at the 130th event at the Standerton River Park.

It was the fourth anniversary of the parkrun and some athletes wore hats to celebrate its existence.
Altogether 102 runners and walkers arrived, with 10 people attempting their first 5km and 12 participants improving their times.
Tshiamo Lephoto was in second place in a time of 18 min 14 sec, followed by Siphesihle Jimmy Junior in 21 min 53 sec, a new personal best time.
Antoinette Herbst, Charlene Geyser, Frans Vermaak, Hugh Robertson, Lizette Jansen van Rensburg, Jean Robertson, Pomesan Govender, Ruwan Vermaak, Séan Jansen van Rensburg and Wessel Herbst took up positions to facilitate a smooth run.
