Regular parkrun in Standerton attracts 53 participants

Siyabonga Kamhelo crossed the finish line in a time of 17:47, followed by Mbuso Mazibuko in 24:53.

A total of 53 participants arrived at the Standerton River Park on Saturday, July 9 for the regular parkrun.

It was a first for run director, Preyanka Dorasamy, to welcome the athletes and taking ultimate responsibility for the event’s safety.

Siyabonga Kamhelo crossed the finish line in a time of 17:47, followed by Mbuso Mazibuko in 24:53.

SJ Groenewald completed the 5km in 25:56, while Brendan Archer clocked in at 27:19 and Parth Jayram at 28:34.

Antoinette Herbst, Arizelle du Toit, Jennifer Naidoo, Johannes Vosloo, Leticia Fourie, Lizette Jansen van Rensburg, Renette de Sousa, Séan Jansen van Rensburg, Theo Schönfeldt, Wessel Herbst and Wikus Fourie facilitated a smooth event.
