Eagle Solar’s Werner Mouton scored 77 runs of 48 deliveries, Dayne Young 35 of 18 deliveries and Jordaan 30 of 21 deliveries.
Sky Rockets’ bowlers put up a defense and Marius scored 1/24, Marco Meintjies 1/30 and Ruan 1/38.
Holmdene and Blue Bottle Barbarians were face to face at 13:30 with Blue Bottle Barbarians clinching a victory, winning by nine wickets.
Holmdene opted to bat.
André Schwab scored 40 of 25 deliveries, Carus Janse van Rensburg 40 of 38 deliveries and Ghe Francois Wessels 19 of 14 deliveries.
Blue Bottle Barbarians’ bowlers Hendré Naudé took 2/15, Donovan Uys 1/11 and Tobie 1/15.
The winning side’s Jan-Dirk van Dyk scored 57 runs of 44 deliveries, Naudé 46 of 17 deliveries and Jacques Smith 31 of 21 deliveries.
Chris Ackerman took 1/28 with Janse van Rensburg and WJ Smith both unsuccessful, conceding 12 and 16 runs respectively.
This coming Sunday, Holmdene plays against Sky Rockets at 10:30 and Eagle Solar against Blue Bottle Barbarians at 13:30.
