Haute Couture Fashion Show showcases young designers

Haute Couture Fashion Show is aimed at empowering local designers and models.

eMZINONI – Thandeka Mathibela Entertainment Company will host the Haute Couture Fashion Show on Friday, 3 December at Nokuthula Simelane Hall.

The spring and summer fashion collection show begins at 6pm. Ms Thandeka Mathibela, the host, said the show will expose young talented designers and will encourage them to design high fashion and to grow their brands.

She hosted a similar event in June for the winter collection.

“We have raised the bar and promise our audience a spectacular show. Local models and artists will be showcasing their talents. What makes us special, is that we also give upcoming models free training and an opportunity to participate in the show.”

Ms Mathibela has been involved in the event since its inception in 2014.

She said incredible local talented designers and models such as Jabu from Mowzab Designs and Zakithi from Colour Blind, were discovered at this event.

She is proud that these designers have never looked back and now have their own brands.

“Two models, Thando Mabuza and Lindeka Zulu, who were discovered by us, will be representing us in Mbombela as finalists in the Miss Teen Mpumalanga Pageant. We are proud of them and wish them luck.”

Ms Mathibela encouraged the public to support the event.

Tickets are available at Computicket for R100 and will be sold at the door for R120.
