Umdzabu makes it big on a large scale
Mr Dumisani Nkambule, a founder of the group, said the group is not only limited to perform at big events, but can also be invited to perform at weddings and birthdays.
LEANDRA – Umdzabu Cultural Group has made it big by representing Lebohang Township, also known as London, at national events.
The group was invited to perform at Orlando Stadium during the ANC’s 105 years celebrations in January.
They also performed at the Blue Room Theatre in eMalahleni (Witbank) on 4 February.
The group’s outstanding performance at the Blue Room led to them being invited to take part in a cultural festival in eMalahleni this past weekend.
Umdzabu brought back a trophy after winning musical and dancing items.
As if that was enough, Umdzabu will soon be appearing on Rising Sun Television.
Mr Dumisani Nkambule, a founder of the group, said the group is not only limited to perform at big events, but can also be invited to perform at weddings and birthdays.
Their biggest challenge is to obtain marimba instruments.
