DJ Mzwezwe is now a radio presenter at Ligwalagwala FM

Dj Mzwezwe has paused his musical career for a while to focus more on his new job.

DJ Mzwezwe from eMbalenhle has scored himself a slot on the local radio station Ligwa FM.

The local kwaito DJ is now a presenter for the Saturday afternoon show Local is Lekker that promotes local artists.

He said this opportunity has taken his career to a higher level and is a dream that has become true.

DJ Mzwezwe began working for the radio station in December as a freelancer, but his creativity and competency scored him a full-time job.

“I have never been so happy in my life because I wake up daily to do what I love the most and what I believe I was born for.

“It is not always easy, but I take each day as it comes and subject myself to learning to better my knowledge and skill.

“I am grateful to the station for giving me this opportunity.

“What I am grateful for the most, is that this show promotes locals.”

DJ Mzwezwe’s love for the radio began when he was young and used to listen to iKwekwezi FM.

His desire to work at a radio station grew even more when he met the radio presenter FBK Skosana who took him to the iKwekwezi FM studios.

Seeing all the equipment and the DJs and presenters changed his live completely.

He tried to find a means of getting employment at various radio stations until Ligwa FM recognised him.

“This has granted me many opportunities and I am now also a master of ceremonies at big events.

“Since I began working at Ligwa FM, I have grown a lot in life and have many big plans that I cannot share at this stage.

“I am grateful to all my supporters and my listeners, their support keeps me going.”
