Teams vie for top spots in Secunda action netball league finals
Autumn league kicked off on April 7.
Teams aimed for hoops in the Action Sports Autumn league netball finals played on March 28.
The six-a-side league gold was won by team No Name when beating Balls and Dolls (silver) 33-26.
Bronze went to Mix Berries, who beat Court Crew 37-4.
In the mixed category, Mavericks Netball took gold over U19 IPT Mixed (2026), silver, 30-26. Netball Newbies took bronze when beating Fast and Flawless 23-22.
Other mixed results:
Megchem Champs beat Ball Busters 49-6, while Dyno Dashes beat Shoot Happens 28-17. Taking the gold in the women’s league were Hocus Pocus, who beat silver U16 IPT 2026 (Centurion) 23-16.
Bronze was awarded to IPT U13A, who beat IPT U14 A Girls (Centurion 2026) 27-26. Well done to the Mpumalanga Pumas U19 mixed team for their hard work at the Inter Provincial Tournament (IPT) held in Hillfox from March 20 to 24.
Competing against seven teams from across the country, the U19 Mixed finished in a respectable fourth place for the 6’s, while the 7’s secured fifth place.
Forming the team are Armand Coetzer (captain), Lanè Coetzer, Michaela Hobkirk, Carli Venter, Jolene Bean, Francois du Toit, Francois Vermeulen, Rewald Toerien, Kaley Pieterse, Jaunelize and Lizandrie Hinrichsen and Mea van der Westhuizen under the coaching of Brendan Brown and team manager Annemari Brown.
The arena has transitioned into the next season, which officially kicked off on April 7.
