Man found dead near scrapyard in eMbalenhle

Police in eMbalenhle are investigating a murder case after the body of a 32-year-old man was found with a stab wound near a scrap metal business in Ext 26 on May 20.
According to Sergeant Busi Mthethwa, spokesperson for the SAPS in eMbalenhle, police received a complaint about a man who had allegedly been stabbed near a scrap yard in Ext 26.
“Upon arrival, police found a female employee at the scrap metal business who informed them that when she opened the scrap yard in the morning, she noticed a man lying next to the premises,” said Mthethwa.
The employee then directed police to the scene, where officers found the man lying on his stomach wearing a black jersey and blue jeans. He was showing no signs of life and had sustained a stab wound to the chest.
Mthethwa said all relevant role players were summoned to the scene and the man was declared dead.
No arrests have been made. Investigations are continuing.
