Members of the Dra Mekaar group gathered at Cappuccinos in Secunda Mall on June 24 to celebrate Father’s Day with fellowship, music and community spirit.

The morning event opened with a scripture reading and prayer led by Ds Diederich Kleynhans, setting a warm and reflective tone for the gathering.

The meeting marked the group’s final gathering for the first half of the year.

Due to the winter season, members will take a short recess before reconvening on August 5 at the NG Kerk Goedehoop Gemeente.

Jakkie Botha and her catering team were thanked for their dedication and service during the group’s monthly meetings.

Members were also reminded to submit photographs from their younger years for the group’s next “Guess Who?” themed morning gathering.

Birthday wishes for July were extended to Ben Moolman, Ingrid Jooste, Ken Jacoby, Matilda Terblanché, Marinda Jonker and Daan Binneman.
