Pool champion looks forward to the All Africa Games

She impressively has managed to place among the top five Blackball Pool provincial ranking since 2016, and top three on the 8 Ball Pool provincial ranking.

 

Michelle Rabe started playing pool in her early 20s and through relentless dedication and an utter passion for the game she was selected for the Protea team in 2017.

Since then, the high school teacher has represented her country on numerous occasions.

Michelle is a member of the Old Boys Pool & Snooker Club and a member of the current 8 Ball South African ladies team who have just been crowned World 8 Ball Champions in Blackpool, England.

Michelle said, “This game teaches you so much about teamwork, performing under pressure, humility and what it means to never give up. It is indeed an honour to play pool for my country on the world stage.”

Michelle has achieved provincial colours in Blackball Pool and 8 Ball Pool, and is the national team Blackball Pool champion of 2014 and 2019.

She impressively has managed to place among the top five Blackball Pool provincial ranking since 2016, and top three on the 8 Ball Pool provincial ranking.

In 2017 to 2019 she was selected for the national ladies’ Blackball pool team and also selected for the national ladies’ 8 Ball Pool team for 2019 and 2020.

The pool table genius is the All Africa Team Champion in 2017 and Team runner-up in the 2018 World Blackball Championship held in Bridlington, UK, with an individual world ranking of number 6.

The three times Provincial champion went on to be the World team champion at the 2019 World Championships in Blackpool, UK.

Michelle is looking forward to the upcoming tour to Morocco for the All Africa Games and the tour to Cyprus for the Nations’ Cup.
