Bikers give back to 1500 children

Bikers show a different side of themselves

The 360 Motor Cycle Club visited Davidsonville this weekend (2 April) in an effort to give back.

The bikers from Florida handed out 1,500 hot dogs and party packs to the children of Davidsonville and Matholiesville.

The club’s member Sandy Scott was excited to be doing something positive for the area.

“This is the first time we have come here and give back. Davidsonville is usually overlooked so this year we wanted to do something for the area. We know that many here struggle financially so what we do here today can have a lasting impact on those we help,” she said.

This is not the first time the club has been active in the area. Two weeks ago the club, together with motorcycle clubs from Unity in Biking handed out more than 80 boxes of Easter Eggs to the children of Claremont, Newclare, Riverlea, Noordgesig and Westbury.

The President of 360 Motor Cycle Club Sean Marais said it was a privilege to be able to host the event and give back to the community.

“It was a blessing to see the smiles and excitement of all the children as the bikers pulled into the areas and handed out the hotdogs and party packs.

The day was a huge success and we hope to have the opportunity to host this event again next year.

We were honoured to have had the support of the Davidsonville community, and would like to thank all the clubs, independent riders and our sponsors such as the Davidsonville butchery, Kwagga Holdings and NBC Holdings for their contributions and support.
