Man waiting for transport to work robbed at gunpoint

At about 7.20am on Monday, 9 January, a man was robbed of his cellphone and wallet while waiting for his transport to work.

The man was waiting outside the complex he lives in on the corner of Pannevis and Dempers Streets, when the incident occurred. Two men came walking out of the veld and as they approached him one pulled out a firearm and demanded his valuables. After they robbed him, they disappeared into the veld again and ran in the direction of the informal settlement.

West Suburbs Roodepoort Neighbourhood Watch (WSRNW) and the police attended to the incident.
