Win tickets to Rocco de Villiers’ concert
Two lucky readers can win tickets to Rocco’s Christmas concert
The famous pianist, Rocco de Villiers, will be performing a Christmas concert at the Roodepoort Theatre.
The concert – Rocco’s Xmas Piano – will take place on 17 November and promises to include something for everyone’s taste.
The concert will include music from his gold status album entitled Beautiful, Beautiful Hymns, as well as his latest release, Beautiful, Beautiful Hymns 2.
Hymns that will be performed on the night include Silent Night; The First Noel; The Little Drummer Boy; Mary’s Boy Child; Oh, Holy Night; Hark the Herald Angels Sing; White Christmas and Ave Maria – to mention just a few.
A tribute to the iconic Afrikaans songwriter, Koos Kombuis, will also be included in the repertoire, and Rocco will be playing Somerkersfees, an Afrikaans Christmas carol celebrating Christmas in Africa. “I will also be playing Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas, because I am a huge fan of her voice,” Rocco said.
The show will be a light, entertaining show, filled with Rocco’s typical patter in between musical items, about his life, Christmas, our country, end of the year eating, credit card debt and celebrations.
The concert will be a show of hope and happiness, soul and spirit, love and life. Tickets can be booked at Webtickets, Pick ‘n Pay or by phoning 0861 670 760.
CDs, DVDs and music books will also be available at the door.
