City Power to repair cable damaged by Joburg Water

City Power was made aware of the incident, and is working to restore power

Ward 89 councillor Amelia Bester has notified residents about a sudden power outage affecting areas such as Panorama in Weltevreden Park this afternoon, Saturday, 2 February.

Amelia communicated that the outage was caused by Johannesburg Water hitting a power cable close to the Kloofendal substation on Patrys Street.

She indicated that City Power was made aware of the incident, and is working to restore power.

She added that City Power was also working on restoring power around the Builders Warehouse area after an outage which occurred last night, Friday, 1 February.
