An informative website for Ward 70 was recently launched to help residents with municipal issues and provide general information.
“My aim with this website is that it should be a centre of information for the ward, with useful links to the Joburg Municipality at large. It contains a blog, titled ‘News and Alerts’, in which I publish current information. Since becoming ward councillor, I have noticed that a measure of confusion exists about logging municipal queries and complaints. For this reason, I dedicated a section to enlightening residents about the processes, procedures and current service level agreements with the service providers,” said Caleb Finn, the man behind the website and councillor for the ward.
The website also includes a map of the ward that indicates schools in the area, health institutions, the community hall, libraries, railway stations, churches and important phone numbers. Residents are urged to log on to https://ward70.org.za/ to view the website and broaden their knowledge of the ward.
