This morning, Wednesday, 26 June, Rand Water issued an update on the B11 Shutdown.
According to Media Relations Manager, Justice Mohale, the work on the B11 Shutdown proceeded successfully throughout last night.
A new shift of technicians took over this morning to finalise the welding aspects of the project.
“At this time, the project is on target to complete the necessary welding work within the 54-hour schedule. Thereafter, the normal processes of commissioning the line will commence. The Rand Water network is operational and stable and all our reservoirs are meeting demand,” Mohale said.
The Rand Water ‘War Room’ remains in place and is closely monitoring the water networks.
Rand Water requests residents to continue using water sparingly.
