Some good news about licence renewals

Residents are advised to check their nearest branch as the service is offered only at selected post offices.

The South African Post Office (SAPO) has introduced a convenient way for motorists to renew their licences. SAPO now accepts debit or credit cards as payment methods that drivers can use at its branches that offer the service. “The renewal of motor vehicle licences is the most popular transaction at Post Office branches – clear evidence of the success of this service,” the Post Office said in a statement. It further stated that motorists who have received a traffic fine issued in terms of the Administrative Adjudication of Road Traffic Offences (AARTO) Act may pay the traffic fine at any Post Office countrywide. Residents are advised to check their nearest branch on this link https://www.postoffice.co.za/Products/Domestic/mvlbranches.html as the service is offered only at selected post offices.
