A bakkie driver is facing a charge of R10 000 after being caught illegally dumping rubble on the corner of Christiaan De Wet and Hendrik Potgieter Roads.
The bakkie was impounded on the spot.

“Don’t dump in our region – we have a zero tolerance attitude – no excuses,” Ward 97 councillor Leah Knott warned.
The councillor also shared a banner with a tip-off line number. Residents are urged to take clear photos showing the culprit, the vehicle with its registration number and the waste dumped, and send them with the date, time and location via SMS or WhatsApp to 082 779 1361.
