City of Johannesburg (CoJ) released a statement at noon yesterday, 25 November, notifying residents that its e-Services website was down.
The entity said they were experiencing technical difficulties and were therefore unable to respond to queries logged through the portal.
The following services were impacted:
• Login to e-Services
• Password queries such as forgotten password or resets
• Login to Online Maps
• Log a Query Functionality
For urgent matters, the CoJ call centre can be contacted on 0860 JOBURG (562 874). They will be able to assist with obtaining balances on municipal accounts. When calling, the first option offers an automated balance enquiry system, or you can request a copy of your account to be emailed to you.
Walk-ins at all Customer Service Centres in the CoJ municipal area will be asked for a copy of their account. Operating times for these offices are weekdays from 7.30am to 5.30pm.
The City concluded its notification by apologising for the inconvenience and thanking customers for their patience and understanding. No estimated time for repairs has been given as yet, but readers will be updated as soon as there is more information.
