Complex wall damaged again

The notorious unforgiving bend left yet another vehicle damaged after it went through the wall

A complex along Van Dalen Road North in Ruimsig has again incurred undesired costs to have its brick security wall repaired after another vehicle ploughed into it.

The notorious unforgiving bend left yet another vehicle damaged after it went through the wall on the evening of 23 August.

Speeding and reckless driving are the main causes of accidents on this road; however, residents have argued before that if the Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) had considered their plea of installing traffic calming measures, accidents wouldn’t have been as common.

The last accident on this road the Northsider reported about was in February after a vehicle had driven into the security wall of another complex in the early hours of that day.

Fever Tree Estate residents have submitted unsuccessful petitions to try and get Council to heed their call for speed humps on this dangerous road.
