Two accidents reported in Ruimsig

Traffic came to a standstill on the hill on Doreen Road in Ruimsig following a collision involving two vehicles yesterday afternoon, 15 September.

According to an eyewitness from Absolut Security, “The BMW’s brakes failed and it started to swerve as it went down the hill before colliding with the VW”.

He said the motorists sustained moderate injuries and were transported to Life Wilgeheuwel Hospital.

Those heading west towards Cradlestone Mall via Hendrik Potgieter Road were met with more delays due to another accident reportedly involving a truck and bakkie that happened shortly after the one on Doreen Road.
