City Power has sent out a notice to residents asking them to prepare for a planned power interruption on Sunday, 11 October.
The electricity supplier apologised for the inconvenience but said the interruption is necessary to do essential maintenance on their network.
The planned power interruption will be in place from 7am to 3pm and will affect the following areas:
• Poortview
• Ruimsig
• Amarosa
• Honeypark
• Tres Jolie
• Alsef Agricultural Holdings
• Willowbrook
• Wilgespruit
• Honeydew Manor
• Kimbult AH
• Ambot AH
• Aanwins AH
• Little Falls
• Strubens Valley
“The maintenance is important to ensure the network performs at its optimal level, and to ensure a security of supply,” said the City Power statement.
The power could return at any point during the day, so all supply points are to be treated as live at all times. City Power would also like to remind residents that this planned maintenance is subject to cancellation in the event of load-shedding on the same day.
