The operation was not only a showcase of high visibility, but there was some entertainment on the night by dancers who accepted the popular Jerusalema dance challenge.

The night started with a community stand-off in the Fairlands Precinct before members of the CPF returned to the area and patrolled the Honeydew Precinct with backup from the Honeydew Police Reservists.

According to the Honeydew CPF, the night was a busy one with the CPF attending to a few incidents.

Members of the community who would like to join the team of patrollers are advised to get in touch with Deputy Chair for Honeydew CPF, Jon Rosenberg on 082 450 2305.

“Our patrol team is growing; this allows us to cover a bigger area when we are out on patrol. We thank all the volunteer patrollers for their time to keep the community safe,” said Jon.
