New music and business by local rapper
The youngster recently released a single titled #ImpiloImpi, featuring Hitman CEO and VeeBeats Exclusive.
Zandspruit rapper Katlego Mau, better known by his stage name KayGee XI is no longer just chasing becoming a mega star, he is also striving towards becoming an established businessman.
The 24-year-old, who has been elevating his brand since 2017 after hanging up his soccer boots the previous year, has released new music and ventured into business as well.
The youngster recently released a single titled #ImpiloImpi, featuring Hitman CEO and VeeBeats Exclusive.
“My single #ImpiloImpi speaks about encouraging the youth to make the right choices and decisions – even in the midst of hardships – and not to be forced into a life of crime because of desperate times,” KayGee XI explained.
On the business front, the budding musician started his own water brand under his company Tlatsa Brands, which produces still and flavoured water, with 100 per cent juice to follow soon.
He said this is the first water brand established from his community.
Both business and single are special to the rapper as he conceptualised both during the height of Covid-19.
“The link between my single and business is that both were started in the midst of the pandemic after seeing how easy it was for people to lose employment due to the harsh economic repercussions. So I decided to launch this business with the hope of creating employment one day, particularly in Zandspruit,” he explained.
To save costs, KayGee XI currently operates from home, and keen buyers can order from him via the following social media pages:
Facebook – Tlatsa Brands; Instagram and Twitter – @tlatsa_brands.
He said #ImpiloImpi is available for streaming on all digital music platforms via this link.
