DCF regretfully cancel three of their community events

DCF chairperson, Justin Bezuidenhout, also announced that the national lockdown prevented an annual general meeting (AGM) from being held for the 2019/2020 period.

This year has seen a hoard of events being cancelled, postponed, or moved online, and even as the restrictions have eased, there are still precautionary cancellations taking place.

The Discovery Community Forum (DCF) members are actively involved in and around their community, and are well known for their family-centric events. However, the coronavirus restrictions have resulted in the cancellation of some of their most anticipated annual events.

The DCF, with very heavy hearts, regrets to inform that under Covid-19 restrictions they will be unable to host the following popular events:

• The Annual DCF Trick-or-Treat event
• Family Fun Day
• Pensioners Tea

DCF chairperson, Justin Bezuidenhout, also announced that the national lockdown prevented an annual general meeting (AGM) from being held for the 2019/2020 period. This means that electing a new committee, or appointing new members, was not possible. However, the existing committee unanimously voted that the current committee would stand for another term and will keep their appointed positions until the next AGM in June 2021.

Residents may contact DCF by emailing discoverycommunityforum@gmail.com should they have any queries about the cancelled events, or the group as a whole.
