City Power recently posted a notice to residents of several areas in and around Wards 70 and 84 explaining the reasons for the sudden interruption in their power supply.
The power identity explained that the outage is an emergency isolation due to an oil leak on the main transformer at Sentraal Substation.
The areas affected by this emergency isolation are:
• Florida
• Florida Park
• Floracliff
• Discovery
• Horison
• Horizon View
• Roodepoort North
• Bergbron
• Northcliff Ext
City Power has been unable to provide an estimated time of restoration (ETR) yet, but an update will be published once an indication has been given.
