Collision in Honeydew leaves biker seriously injured

A man in his 30s was left seriously injured when a light motor vehicle and a motorbike collided on Boundary Road in Honeydew on 29 October.

ER24’s Russel Meiring said that paramedics arrived at the scene at 9.03am to find both the vehicle and the motorbike parked on the side of the road.

“The biker, a man in his 30s, was found lying on the sidewalk near his bike, being treated by another service.

“Medics assessed the man and found he had sustained injuries to his chest and face, leaving him in a serious condition,” he explained.

He added that the biker was treated and provided with pain-relief medication before he was transported to a nearby hospital for further care.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
