Friday, 30 October saw community members together with Honeydew Police and emergency services take advantage of an opportunity to meet and enjoy coffee and a conversation at Clearwater Mall from 9am to 12 noon.

According to the organisers, affidavits and document certification were available at the venue for the duration of the event.

The partners in this ‘safer communities’ initiative were Clearwater Mall, Intellidrive, Netcare 911, Tracker, Fidelity Services Group and Emergency Services.
The event organised by Honeydew CPF and Honeydew Police station was under the theme ‘Every Relationship begins with a Conversation’.
“Thank you to all role players that took part in the Coffee with a Cop event on Saturday at Clearwater Mall.
“The event was a great success, and the community loved the displays, and the interaction with the various organisations.
“It was a brilliant initiative that will continue to roll out across the country. It was an honour to host the event in Honeydew,” said Deputy Chair of Honeydew CPF, Jon Rosenberg.
The highlight of the day was the Police Band that provided some impressive entertainment with their smooth, well-rehearsed popular tunes.
Netcare 2, a specialised Bell 407 helicopter ambulance drew a crowd of young and old, many of whom had never seen a helicopter from that close.
