New and old toys needed for Christmas charity project

For an amiable Christmas to help those least fortunate, Amelia pleaded with the residents to donate toys and non-perishable goods.

Ward 89 councillor Amelia Bester is appealing to the community to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate this Christmas.

“The year 2020 has been a trying year for people across the globe. The Christmas holiday period will be grim for many this year,” Amelia envisaged.

For an amiable Christmas to help those least fortunate, Amelia pleaded with the residents to donate toys and non-perishable goods.

“If you have old toys or want to donate new ones, please arrange to drop them off at Argyle Square, corner Tamarisk Street and JG Strydom Road in Radiokop between 9am to 3pm until 1 December.”

“We hope to create gift parcels for some of the least fortunate in our community – non-perishable foodstuffs are also welcome,” she briefed.
