Young Ruimsig performer bags an award
The young music sensation has recorded seven songs with Danny Dippenaar from Swallow 15 Music School over the last two years, and shows no sign of slowing down.
Crawford International Ruimsig learner, Chantè Joubert continues her quest to reach for the stars by once again gaining recognition at the most prestigious event in South Africa.
Chantè did not only participate in the National Eisteddfod Academy (NEA) competition, but received a Young Performers Award for Contemporary Music in March earlier this year prior to lockdown.
She participated in the first round of the 17th Young Performer Awards Competition presented by the NEA at the Roodepoort Theatre in March in the category Contemporary Music (vocal and instrument) Senior Phase.

The National Eisteddfod Young Performer Awards Competition is the most prestigious event of its kind in South Africa for young performers in music, dance and drama.
It is presented annually over four elimination rounds with more than R500 000 in prizes awarded to top achievers in music, dance and drama in recent years.
The competition was open for all top achievers in the National Eisteddfod 2019, as well as top achievers who participated in other local Eisteddfods and festivals during 2019.
