Radiokop residents host a successful market day

On Saturday, 7 November, Honeydew Police, SAPS Reservists and Honeydew CPF joined Radiokop Residents Association (RRA) for their successful market day at the Natural Dynamix School in Radiokop.
The main purpose of the market day was to showcase and demonstrate to the community the work they do, and to educate them.
According to the organisers, another reason for the market was to use the vibrant WhatsApp business group to help sellers meet more buyers, and to get the community together.

Captain Laas kept the children entertained with a series of demonstrations on how to take down a suspect, how to search and also some self-defence tools they are equipped with.
“We had many stalls selling items like teacher’s gifts, toys, plants, beadwork, bath and household items, arts and crafts, Tupperware, clothes, handmade knives and many more.
“The Honeydew Sector 3 Police and Reservist team joined us along with GP Tactical, Apcan Security and our neighbourhood watch team to keep the public safe and meet with the community.
“It was a lovely day in a safe and enjoyable atmosphere, and we intend to hold more market days in future and get to know our community more,” said Honeydew Sector 3 Secretary,” Carolyn Lanzillotti.
