A partnership to give desperate children toiletries

Living Waters has partnered with Pick n Pay Wilro Park for their initiative.

Living Waters of Hope is a West Rand-based non-profit organisation (NPO) that has been helping vulnerable community members since 2016.

For the festive season this year, the organisation is taking on a unique approach to ask residents to help the children of Roodepark School.

Living Waters has partnered with Pick n Pay Wilro Park for their initiative. A Christmas tree has been set up in the store with 60 cards attached to it. Each colourful card has the name of one of the learners they will be helping and a toiletry item that they need.

Pick n Pay and the NPO are asking shoppers to pick a card and help one of these vulnerable children with the essential item they need. Just take a card off the tree, put the item you purchase in a packet with the card and name, place it in the trolley next to the tree, and Living Waters of Hope will deliver the gifts to the children.

In the event that all 60 name cards are not taken, the organisation will be purchasing the toiletries for the learners who were not chosen. So if you are willing to make a financial donation, it will help exponentially. The NPO is also registered as a public benefit organisation (PBO) so they are able to issue 18A certificates for tax returns on your donations.
