Local rapper to pursue his talents and purpose
The 31-year-old music utility started writing his own lyrics and practicing at a very young age before he matured into entering many rap battles at school as well as outside of school.
Battle Rapper, MC and Producer Lanfranco Mentoor from Roodepoort West is grateful for the opportunity to represent South Africa at the largest International modelling and talent convention in New York City in July 2021.
The International Modelling and Talent Association (IMTA) is a professional organisation of modelling and talent training centres from around the world, that meet biannually for talent and modelling conventions in both New York City and Los Angeles.
Lanfranco, better knows by his stage name Chronic was born in Queenstown in the Eastern Cape on 5 October 1989.
The 31-year-old music utility started writing his own lyrics and practicing at a very young age before he matured into entering many rap battles at school as well as outside of school.
At the age of 18 he produced and released his first mixtape compilation with a group that he formed called Twisted Dreadlock, and later formed 9th Cloud resulting in a second mixtape.

“In 2012 I obtained a Digital Music Production qualification from Intec College; this came with challenges as I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression and was in and out of hospital, but I still managed to sustain my job for the next five years.
“In 2016 I was spotted by the legendary HHP during a 16-bar challenge on social media – unfortunately his untimely passing was a big emotional knock for me and the music industry, as we never had the chance to work together as we planned. He is one of the artists I look up to and respect to this day,” said Lanfranco.
This once in a lifetime opportunity to travel abroad, especially to New York City, requires a sponsor that would help Lanfranco pursue his gifts, talents and purpose.
He is also aiming to receive a scholarship from The New York Film Academy at IMTA to equip himself with the necessary knowledge and skills to establish his own production company in future.
Members of the public and interested business are advised to feel free to contact Lanfranco or his director, Elsubie Verlinden on 084 759 0677 or 071 029 0505 for any further information or questions.
