City of Joburg sticker for approved adverts.

“Remove that illegal advert. Community members are more than welcome to remove illegal adverts. To spot a legal advert – the sticker from the City confirms that the advert is allowed to be in a particular area,” the post read, including an example.

The post also encouraged residents to report this scourge.

“Report illegal adverts on 011 490 1547. People who want to advertise legally are requested to approach the Outdoor Advertising Unit by emailing Operations Manager Jack Sekgobela at jackse@joburg.org.za,” the post read.
