In early March, the MMC for Housing, Mlungisi Mabaso, announced that the formalisation the Rugby Club Informal Settlement would begin within a few weeks.
Processes have begun to find a Community Liaison Officer (CLO) for the electrification of the settlement, and now applications are open for the position of CLO for the settlement’s water project as well. City of Johannesburg and Joburg Water are inviting eligible Ward 70 residents to apply.
The contract has a two-month duration and the CLO will need to work from the site.
Requirements to apply for the position are as follows:
• Minimum educational qualification passed – Matric
• Good communication and report writing skills
• Good command of the English language
• Must be currently unemployed
• Must have extensive knowledge of Ward 70
• Only residents of Ward 70 will be considered for this position
The closing date for applications is Thursday, 15 April at 12 midday. CVs must be dropped off at the Ground Floor in the Roodepoort Civic Centre, 100 Christiaan de Wet Road, Florida Park.
