Suspected house robber arrested in Honeydew
The suspect was caught with housebreaking implements in his possession.
A suspect is in custody after he was apprehended by Honeydew CPF patrollers and police reservists on Friday night, 9 April.
Honeydew CPF public relations officers, Michael Steyn said a security company was patrolling the area when they saw the suspect jumping over a wall onto Jim Fouché Road. “He jumped into multiple yards before he was finally caught,” Steyn added. He was taken to Honeydew Police station.

The suspect was caught with housebreaking implements in his possession. Steyn lauded the efforts of CPF patrollers and security companies. He said, “It’s great to have everybody working together like that, and team work definitely pays off”.

Steyn encouraged members of the community to join the patroller programme in order to cover more areas.
