Hillfox sports and entertainment facilities closed temporarily
Sport and entertainment facilities have closed their doors as Covid cases rise during the third wave.
Sports and entertainment have been put on hold as the country battles the devastating third wave of the coronavirus. Following the president’s announcement on June 27 to move the country into an adjusted level 4 lockdown, sports and entertainment facilities have been instructed to cease operating immediately to help curb infections.
The local sports arenas, Action Sport and Fives Futball at Hillfox Value Centre regrettably had to close their doors to the public temporarily on June 28. Hillfox Value Centre’s Marketing Manager, Stan Mbatha said the same applied to the Viva Gym and Red Fox Market, until further notice.
Residents and community members are urged to follow the safety regulations in the hopes of decreasing the number of actives cases and fatalities. Gauteng has reported 79 354 active cases, the highest in the country.
