Welties resident nominated for the Woman of Stature Awards 2021

"I dedicate this nomination to my support system: my husband Johann Strauss, children and loyal clients.”

Corlia Strauss feels honoured to be nominated in the Woman in Media category for the Woman of Stature Awards 2021. It is the Weltevreden Park resident’s first nomination in the media industry.

Corlia has always been passionate about sharing knowledge and contributing to the growth of others.

She spent four fulfilling years as a teacher before she and her husband welcomed their baby girl into the world.

“My daughter is now in Grade 6, and when I look back on those early days, I remember the roller coaster of joy and challenges.

“Being a full-time stay at home mom was rewarding, but I craved interaction with people who could speak more than one syllable.

“I dedicate this nomination to my support system: my husband Johann Strauss, children and loyal clients,” said Corlia.

According to Corlia, she is a firm believer that success in life comes from knowing yourself.

“We all take on multiple roles, which allow us to discover and express different parts of our personalities.

“We grow, we learn, we fail, and we succeed. I’ve held many roles that have revealed and shaped who I am today – a businesswoman, mother, wife and mentor – all rolled into one,” said Corlia.

Woman of Stature is one of South Africa’s leading organisations providing high-quality transformational programmes.

They provide a platform where women learn the art of ‘living on purpose’ and in so doing reach their full potential.

The organisation is a source of opportunities and information to empower women through mentoring and skills development programmes, workshops, seminars and social events.

The Woman of Stature Awards 2021 is being hosted by Woman of Stature Foundation on October 14 in Johannesburg.

All proceeds will be going to the Healing Wing Programme to help women who find themselves in sudden, desperate situations due to business closure or job losses.
