Should there be any challenges associated with Covid-19, or electricity supply causing no visibility in the library, or water supply problems in the areas in which libraries are situated, those libraries will be closed at short notice until the problem is resolved.
According to CoJ Library and Information Services Management, full library services will be reinstated only when the identified challenges associated with Covid-19 risks are resolved, and the risk of infection is reduced.
“The staff at Weltevreden Park Library are pleased to see these changes. We are planning face-to-face programmes again, beginning with a programme for children during the December school holidays.
“Information can be obtained from the library on 011 679 3406. We are excited to see the library filling up as more people are able to access it – subject to Covid-19 protocols of course.
“We’re ready to welcome community members of all ages,” said Weltevreden Park Senior Librarian, Gwyneth Perry.
