Place A Pup opens adoption services with market day

The event was to mark the opening of their daycare and adoption services.

There were pups galore and a few humans around at the Place A Pup Market day on Sunday November 14. The event had food and drink stalls for both humans and puppies.

Julie Eden, volunteer at Place V Pup said the event was to mark the opening of their daycare and adoption services. “The day has been great and a few puppies have been adopted already. We also have the R100 club. People can register to donate R100 every month for a year.”

The shelter rescues puppies and older dogs in different areas including Roodepoort and Randburg. Founder of Place A Pup, Jessica Dias said they also assist three other shelters and work in different townships. “All the funds go toward sterilisations, microchips, de-worming and vaccinations, among others.”

The afternoon not only included sweet treats and pet treats but live music from Cito Otto and Justin Serrao.
