Skye College celebrates learners’ journey of learning

The graduating class of 2021 saw the Grade Rs, 1s and 2s receive their diplomas. Last year the school did not have a graduation event, which is why they included the three grades this year.

Preschool graduation is a big step in children’s development. Graduation ceremonies bring schools and families together to build their community while supporting the young learners as they move into higher levels of academics.

According to the school the day was aimed at celebrating the children and how far they have come on their journey of learning.

“It’s a celebration of reaching a first of many milestones in their lives. Some of these children have been with us since they were babies in our nest, and now they are moving into and growing with our new school property,” said Principal Claire Shepherd.

The preparatory school learners have enjoyed a busy and fulfilling year, with experiences including their first entrepreneurs day.

Due to the Covid-19 regulations the school unfortunately did not have much in the way of family at school events as there were no Mother’s/ Father’s Day events.
