Technicians were unable to complete the repairs on the day due to the wet weather.

Residents of Honeydew continue to be without electricity after two cables were stolen on January 17. Technicians were unable to complete the repairs on the day due to the wet weather.

According to a statement, City Power has technicians on the scene and working on repairing the damage. Unfortunately an estimated time of restoration has not been given. Tebogo Sehlako from City Power Customer Care shared they were running behind on fully restoring power.

“The replacement of stolen cables has been completed. Operators are scheduled to conduct final tests before the restoration process commences.”
